1. Local Processing & Zero Telemetry

VNS GROUP LIMITED operates under a strict Zero-Telemetry Policy. The VNS Play application does not harvest, monitor, store, or transmit your listening habits, playlists, media files, unique hardware identifiers (IMEI/MAC), location data, or contact lists to external servers. All media playback, LRC parsing, and video rendering execute entirely offline on your local device CPU.

2. Microphone Privacy & Music Recognition

If you choose to use the smart music identification feature, VNS Play requires temporary access to your device's microphone:

• Strictly On-Demand: The microphone is activated ONLY when you explicitly press the music recognition button. We do not listen in the background.
• No Voice Recording: A brief 5-second audio snippet is captured, securely hashed (via HMAC-SHA1), sent to our partner API (ACRCloud) for identification, and instantly discarded. Your conversations are never recorded, saved, or analyzed.

3. Local Storage & Media Files Security

• Local Media Access: Storage permission is requested solely to scan and play audio files residing locally on your device and to save generated 30-second videos to your gallery.
• Zero Cloud Sync: We do not upload your music, photos, or generated videos to any cloud server. Everything stays on your phone.

4. App Permissions Overview

VNS Play requests minimal permissions to function efficiently:

• Storage / Media: To read local audio files and write video exports.
• Record Audio: Strictly for the Shazam-like music identification feature.
• Internet: Required to query the music recognition API and load external developer links.

5. Complete Data Wipe Options

Users retain full autonomy over their application data:

• In-App Reset: You can clear app cache, custom playlists, and folder configurations from the settings.
• Uninstallation Purge: Uninstalling the application or clearing storage via Android Settings → Apps → VNS Play → Clear Storage destroys all locally retained app preferences instantly.

6. Children's Privacy

Because VNS Play functions without account sign-ups, network telemetry, or personal data capture, no personal information of any user—including minors—is ever collected, stored, or distributed.

7. Policy Amendments & Transparency

We may periodically update this policy to document architectural improvements or regulatory requirements. Any revisions will be reflected transparently on this page alongside an updated effective date.
