1. Absolute Privacy & Zero Telemetry

VNS GROUP LIMITED operates under a strict Zero-Telemetry Policy. The VNS Vault desktop application does not collect, track, store, or transmit any personal metrics, device identifiers, IP addresses, or password vaults to external servers. All encryption and decryption processes execute entirely offline on your local device CPU.

2. Encryption & Local Storage Security

Data saved within VNS Vault is secured using military-grade AES-GCM-256 bit encryption and PBKDF2 key derivation algorithms.

• Local Sandbox Partition: Payment records, credentials, and cards operate within an isolated client-side sandbox partition.
• Sensitive Data Masking: Sensitive fields (CVV2, full card numbers) are masked by default and require local biometric or passcode verification to reveal.

3. Data Backup & Local Sync

• Encrypted Payload: All exported backup files (.JSON or String) remain fully encrypted with your 12-word seed key prior to file generation.
• Air-Gapped Tether Sync: Data transfers between mobile terminals and desktop nodes occur via direct USB / local sockets without intermediary cloud servers.

4. Local Storage & Disaster Recovery

To ensure your data is never lost, VNS Vault automatically creates a highly secure backup folder named Documents\VNS Vault on your operating system, maintaining a file named vns_local_safety.json.

• Smart Account Restoration: If you accidentally delete the application's temporary files (AppData), launching the app will display a "Restore Account" option alongside "New Registration". Selecting restore simply requires your Master Password, recovering your entire vault and cards flawlessly intact.
• 100% Offline Processing: This mirror file is strictly local, heavily encrypted, and absolutely never transmitted or synced to any cloud server or internet gateway.

5. Identity Documents & Passports Management

VNS Vault features a dedicated isolated partition for securely storing Identity Cards, Passports, and sensitive documents.

• Offline Expiry Alerts: As a document nears expiration, the system generates a yellow warning banner and highlights the date in yellow directly on the card. This calculation relies entirely on your device's local clock and requires absolutely zero internet access.
• Local Media Handling: Users may upload or delete custom document photos or logos at their discretion. These media operations are processed strictly offline, completely isolated from network access.

6. Custom Media & Bank Card Personalization

VNS Vault allows extensive personalization of your digital wallet while enforcing an uncompromising offline architecture.

• Custom Offline Logos: Users can manually upload custom bank logos (supporting .JPG, .PNG, and .SVG formats).
• Color Customization: Wallet cards can be color-coded using the integrated offline color menu for rapid visual identification.
• Zero-Network Rule: Any uploaded image or selected color is processed natively, converted to local encrypted strings, and stored exclusively on your device. Internet access is never required nor utilized.

7. Uninstallation & Complete Data Wipe

To protect user credentials from accidental data loss during system updates or standard application uninstallation, Windows installers do not purge personal profile directories automatically. If you wish to permanently remove all traces of your account and database, follow the guidelines below:

• In-App Factory Reset (Recommended): Before uninstalling, navigate to Settings → Security and perform a Factory Wipe. This permanently destroys local keyrings and databases.
• Manual Profile Clean-up: If the application was already uninstalled, press Win + R, type %appdata%, press Enter, and permanently delete the VNS Vault directory.
• Multi-User Environments: In shared or Standard User environments, ensure all active user sessions are fully logged off before uninstallation to release file locks.

8. Children's Privacy

VNS Vault is not directed toward children under the age of 13. Because the application operates entirely offline without telemetry or data collection, no personal data from children or any users is ever collected, processed, or shared.

9. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect enhancements in VNS Vault's security architecture. Any modifications will be published on this page with an updated effective date.

10. App Store Subscriptions & Billing Data

VNS Vault offers a 3-month free trial followed by a paid subscription. If you choose to upgrade or subscribe, all billing and payment processing are handled securely by the respective platform (Huawei AppGallery, Google Play, or Microsoft Store). VNS GROUP LIMITED does not collect, process, or store your credit card information, billing address, or payment details on our servers.
